Im trying to reset the Distance to Empty. I saw on my cousins Taco having about 400+ miles after his fill up and I got about 290 after my fill up. I know why theres a gap between the DTE, but if maybe I reset it, it should be good.

That's all based on your average mpg. The settings in your center display (above your steering wheel)
has an option to reset you average mpg. The head unit has your fuel averages under "eco" this can be reset as well. I think this is all in the owner's manual, which has a wealth of info for your truck.

Its an estimated numbered based on your previous fuel mileage. Resetting that value will, in no way, increase the fuel efficiency of you truck.

    A few.
It resets itself based on your previous tank mileage and it self adjusts as you drive.

Now I've done some stuff to my truck.
In my experience the DTE only goes down and never up. I'll explain.. Say, I'm driving on freeway at a speed limit for four hours - my fuel economy is good, let's say -19MPG. My DTE will be, let say 360.
The next tank I fill - I pull a trailer - my MPG will go way down and my DTE will be, say 220. Next time I fill the tank, my DTE will remain 220 (until I hit the lower number, than it will change to it). That is the only reason I want to reset the DTE. I know it has nothing to do with real distance of fuel economy, etc. It just bugs me to see the low number :)
