Has any owner of a 3rd generation Tacoma SR-5 tried to pull an R-pod travel trailer? My Tacoma has a towing package and is 4x4. Everything else is stock.

How big? Height, length, width, and weight?

Typically just stick it S4 and leave it, and give yourself plenty of room to stop.

Right now I'm shopping around for travel trailers and have liked the r-pod models. Still need to do my research on other brands, but I wanted to see who has towed an r-pod with a 3rd generation Tacoma SR5. Thank you for your reply.

I regularly pulled a PopUp camper with my 2017 TRD OR 4wd. It goes at 2,500 lbs unloaded and dry. It pulled fine when limiting it to 5th gear, but you did need a good plan for any type of passing. I just had to be patient with it. I also had an electric brake controller to help get it stopped.

My neighbor pulls a rpod with his 2014 2wd double cab taco. His rpod has a slide out, looks to be 25 foot end of hitch to bumper. He says fine on freeway, but a little dicey going over grades. Has to downshift and go slow.

I tow a Jayco Hummingbird with my SR5. It is very similar to an rpod. The unloaded weight is 2700 lbs for my Hummingbird. It tows with no issues. My only advice is to keep it in S4 while towing the camper.
