So I have searched tacomaworld for this answer with no avail. I am needing to replace both lower ball joints, but when I called Toyota they said they no longer sell just the ball joints. If I were to go through them I would have to but the entire LCA at $400 each. Everything I have read on here has states to stay with OEM. I am wondering what everyone else is doing, or if someone knows where you can still buy them from Toyota.

    Thanks for the help

Why not just get moog ball joints if you want to do just the ball joints.

That is what I ended up doing. I was trying to avoid getting the moog ball joints after reading several reviews on here about some not lasting, but couldn’t find a better option.

Im curious about this as well. Looking to buy some LBJ to keep on hand for when i have to replace mine. Would prefer OEM if possible.

FWIW, but not sure if actually true, a friend of mine that used to work at the local Toyota dealer was looking into rebuilding the front end of his 1st gen. And contacted his friend that still works in the parts dept and he told him just go to advance and get moog parts and that the oem toyota stuff was actually out of the same factory as moog. :notsure:
