Will the add-on require buying the kit, or will it be separately purchasable.? I’ll go find your DIY post. In the meantime, can I get on a list for the stock illumination mod?

The illumination harness will be separate. I don't have a list started for them yet as I do not have firm pricing.

Perfect. I’m in. In the interim, I’ll go ahead and move my switch to the overhead console. I’m assuming you’ll be daisy chaining off an existing switch?

I'm not sure we need a firm price to start a list on TW.

I just got around to installing this after buying in the second round of kits, and I really wish I hadn't waited. Install is pretty easy, only took an hour and a half(and one stripped bolt). But it works flawlessly. Anyone with a manual that tows should get this kit

They should just get it anyways. The ‘cool factor’ is worth the small spend.

This might be a dumb question, but just to make sure... if you're in 2 low and you wanna shift into 4 low, you just press the added button to turn off 2 low?

In other words, once you're in 2 low, can you switch back and forth between 2 low and 4 low with just the one button?

Or do you have to switch into 2 high again and start the sequence over to get into 2 low next time?

    Make sense?

That would be a beautiful thing, but that is not how the 4wd ECU and the 2LM works. You gotta back out to 2Hi, then go back to true 4Lo.

One neat thing that I have discovered using the 2LM is that you don't have to stop and wait at 4Hi. At least on disengaging. Several times, I went from 2Lo to 2Hi without stopping at the 4Hi position. I keep trying to remember to try this while engaging but never do remember.

Is there any way to still purchase this harness from you? Any help is very much appreciated.

Anyone have experience/recommendations regarding the 3rd party switches linked at the front of this thread? (big vs small, etc)

Got yours and a few others, I will update the first post a little later.

The large switches, generally, are the ones that fit to the left of the steering wheel. The small ones fit in the overhead console and center console below the HVAC controls.

I think the Air On Board switches are slightly better quality, but not by a ton. The "new blue" from AOB is definitely a better match to the stock blue. Either work perfectly fine.

4x4 store is fine and pick a cool color. Size depending WHERE you install
