My wife doesnt mind me blowing all the money I make on the truck. It used to get on her nerves, she has gotten use to it. It seemed to be more that I was changing the truck from stock that bothered her. I was shocked when she asked me a few weeks ago what my next mod would be. Then watched her smile when we talked about winches. She really enjoys snow wheeling as well :fistbump:

The real thing that holds guys back from going all out like you on your truck are kids. They suck all the money outa your pockets.:bananadead:

I am just going a bit slower than you, since I plan on having my truck for 30+ years. Lots of time to do all the things.:cookiemonster:

I stopped feeding the kids at this point. It hurts then now but they will understand later on.
My plan of attack is space out the big purchases and fill in the gaps with the smaller ones.

Looks like a sweet project! watch out for @Norilsk and hide your tools....and possible your wife/partner...
If you can tie the supports into the bed/frame mounts you won't have to worry about the bedsides bowing out.

If not a bedside stiffener can be used, but the part that is being braced doesn't keep the flimsy fender skin from pulling away.

I ran into the issue where it still pulled away with the weight I was carrying on the bedside.

Haven't seen many cases of it but something to consider depending on how you plan to use the rack it self. If you look at how the fender and tail light dont align. This is because the fender skin has bent outwards.
