Toyota Factory Extra Care Platinum Zero Deductible Warranty

I was quoted $3050 for a 125k mile 7 yr extended warranty for a 2x4 Tacoma

Is this the going rate for Florida or should I shop around a little more?

 

I would shop it!
My son at the end of Oct. had purchased a 2019 TRD OR 4x4 and his quote was less than that!

I called a local Florida dealer and was quoted $2875 for the same coverage. I tried to negotiate and again was told Florida is a nonnegotiable state.

One dealership would not talk to me since I did not purchase the truck there.

Has anyone else purchased an extended warranty in Florida only to find the price is firm?

 

not with toyota, but i got the same answer through BMW/MINI when i purchased an extended warranty. if i remember correctly, they said that the warranty was covered by the state's insurance regulations, so each policy had a set cost. the only way to reduce the price was to get a different policy with different coverages.

 

I am now looking out of state for a Toyota warranty. It should not matter (my opinion) if I purchase the truck at their dealership.

 

Put that money in savings.
