Yeah that’s true...I never remove it so I never notice it. Just changed out my bar tape on my road bike a few weeks ago and that residue is still on the cables. Nasty stuff

How’s the riding in El Paso? I’ve got family down there and always wonder if it’s a good winter riding spot

If I get my chameleon and get back into a hard tail. I’ll be selling my Kona Process 111, 2018, with around 60-75 miles. Very clean never dropped. The bb will most likely be included. I’ll give ya a great deal......DE35508B-AB38-4228-8840-7CBC093B2DC2.jpg

I may be interested in a Size L frame for a friend, as well. What are you thinking about asking for it?

52 degrees sounds amazing right now...haven’t gotten to ride my mountain bike because of rain/snow the past few weeks and rode my road bike in 20mph gusts this weekend...I need a break haha

Finally got a chance to take some pictures...

The front Avid bb7_mtn caliper was actually broken so I haven't ridden it, just got a replacement from REI today, didn't know they come with a set of brake pads too. I love how you can adjust the "piston?" length individually left/right, but on one of the sides I can't adjust any further and it's lightly grazing the rotor. Any fix for this? Tried pushing in with a flathead screwdriver. Ended up getting new shifter and brake cables, and a new, longer chain as recommended by my LBS. Shifting issue is gone now!
Also, I don't have a bicycle maintenance stand yet, so I just used my hitch bike rack and strapped it down by the seat since I was too lazy to unclip the frame bag. I might end up just doing this method every time since my garage is jam-packed.
Some pictures of the wheel axle in case anyone knows what parts I would need to get for an adapter for a boost fork and which forks I could use for the 29x3 tire.

Wow. I didn't think we could get 2 dikes in a short bed. I'm contemplating the hitch mount carrier for one bike.

I like the ones at discountramps! https://www.discountramps.com/carriers/c/2130/
I've used their single hitch carrier for my sportbike before and I use their ride-up loading ramps.

Mount up the wheel to the bike, loosen the bolts holding the caliper to the adapter (the two Allen/hex bolts), pull the brake lever and tighten the bolts as you are holding the brake. That should align the caliper a decent amount.

if that doesn’t work, it could be a bent rotor. If you can find out what part of the rotor is rubbing you can realign it with an adjustable wrench. Just make sure there is no grease or anything on the wrench.

I cant find the spacers I take from the LBS. They come with newer specialized bikes.

You can kind of see they here - cleans up the lines.

Better consider air bags with the hitch carrier. That much weight cantilevered off the back will cause some sagging and possibly bottoming out on big bumps.

The s-hooks are nice. All the name brand ones are expensive $8-9 for 4.

I've never had good luck with s-hooks on mountain bikes, they just slide around and eventually fall off. Good for roadies though. That's why I like the method above, you can also adjust the length of gap between hooks as well by cutting down the cable cap.
Those spirals work well also, just personally don't like their look.
    Specialized clips are clean!

That’s what I was wondering about those s clips. I might buy a big roll of the spiral so I can cut it to my own length and try it out

The 2020 Trance 3 I ordered wasn’t going to come in for 3 months, so I scored a 2019 Trance 2 for about the same price! Can’t wait to hit some trails!187870DD-EB9A-40D6-95B0-B05AF6173582.jpg
