I finally got around to pulling the motor out of my truck. I parked it a lil over 2 years ago because it started to knock, then out of nowhere time flew by and the project fell to the back burner. Well yesterday I got it mounted up on the engine stand and pulled the oil pan off and was surprised that none of the rod bearings were spun and causing the knocking noise and the mains looked perfect. After doing some more looking around in the bottom end I did see a nasty heat mark on the balance shaft. Im going to further tare the motor down and pull the balance shafts to figure out if that's where the noise and metal mud came from.3a.jpg 3a.jpg 4a.jpg 3a.jpg 4a.jpg 5a.jpg 6a.jpg 1a.jpg 7a.jpg

I rebuilt mine and did a balance shaft delete. The balance shaft bearings are usually the first things that go in these things

hows the extra vibrations? i've been looking into the lce kit and didnt know if the rotating assembly needed to be balanced. I'd like to get away with out having to send the bottom end to the machine shop.

I mean definitely noticeable but I'm used to it and its really not bad. I would say 25%-30% increase for me.
