Heyall.... new here. Been lurking for quite a while...

Got my first Tacoma last year, 2019 SR5 Desert Sand (I refuse to call it quick sand).

Anway, pretty much all stock... black wheels, double cab, long bed.

What would be a nice beginner first upgrade or add on? Preferably something that is within warranty guidelines.

    • bigger tires
    • step bars/running boards
    • grille
    • additional lights
    • muffler/exhaust
    • fender flares
Not rich by any means, just looking to make her stand out a little more.

    Just picking yalls brains.

Do a google search. Many people have videos and blogs on best cheap upgrades or any upgrades/mods. They are legit Tacoma owners and fans.
Those searches will also bring up lots and lots of threads from this forum. It’s easier to search that way.

Get an OEM bed mat if you don't have one already.

Just be forewarned that it is like a drug. Once you start mod’ing it is hard to stop. Be prepared to have your credit card out once you start the search :spending:

    Good luck and enjoy!

I would start with the simple fairly inexpensive items first, such as bed mat, water-proof tool box, center console tray, TRD exhaust and hitch step/bumper protector if they interest you.

I would do a nice grille. Some people like PRO, others like to paint or swap the chrome trim with a black trim.

The same reason as a Cavalryman, I refuse to call it Cavalry blue, but rather Infantry blue (which it actually is).

Bigger tires - they will deny warranty and tsb work for TSS
Grille - see above depending on the one you go with
Additional lights - denied someones warranty for headlight issues because of this

Tube steps, sliders, will save you door dings from most cars. I did the red letter tailgate inserts, glove box inserts, Blake’s the chrome, console insert.
