    engine swap (stuck valve @260K)
    Anyone see this on a 1GRFE?! 35mm one behind p/s pump.
    always had proper coolant fill
    Fortunately in a reasonable spot to replace
    WTF

    I've never changed one on a Toyota, but they probably use the same thing as everyone else has for ~100 years because of cost concerns: zinc plated steel plugs. And these have been failing since a few years after the first one was installed
