Hi- Anybody have information or installed fog-lights in the stock bumper mount location for a 2014 tacoma? My tacoma came with-out them and I would like to install some factory ones. It appears you just need to "knock out" the factory bumper hole location? Then install to a spare auxiliary switch location inside? If anyone has knowledge or has done this already it would be super helpful to know whats involved. Also where to buy factory or aftermarket lights that will fit correctly?

    Thanks!

I've done it on my 2010, don't waste money on OEM fog lights, I got a set on Amazon for 65 dollars and they've been great for the 6 months I've had them. It's a really easy install. You pop out the blanks (plastic covers) put in the lights then wire it into the battery, and through a fuse (for safety) feed a wire through the firewall and mount a switch. ez pz.

^^This. If you aren't good with this stuff, buy a fog light kit on Amazon or eBay. It'll have a vehicle specific fit search as well as the kit will have everything you need.

I just did this a few days ago. Was super easy even for a non wire-centric guy. I just needed an ad-a-fuse in addition to the kit provided to make it all work. GL!

This was done about 6 years ago and I no longer have this truck. But the lights are just a cheap Ebay kit. The fog light blanks don't pop out, they unbolt. I recommend using those screws to secure the lights as they are probably of a higher quality than the ones that will come in the kit.

Most of these kits come with a generic wire harness and aren't truly plug and play. Some modification is necessary. I didn't like the switch that came with it. So I gutted the harness of anything related to it and ran an old OEM rocker switch from a 90's era 4Runner that I had had unopened for many years.

The lights were powered off of the battery and the relay was switched from a blank spot in the interior fuse panel that was hot when the parking lamps were. So the fogs came on and off with the parking lamps/headlights.The rocker switch simply interrupted the signal between the relay and the fuse panel hookup and was only there if I wanted to have them off for some reason.

The bulbs were some PIAA Ion Plasma Yellows.

I have very limited picture info as it was several years ago and I'm going off memory. Hope this helps.

Mine is an 09 base. I ordered a set from Amazon that are supposed to be plug and play, it came with a full wiring kit. Looking at my truck all the wiring is there from the factory except the switch so 1 of these days I will do the installation

If your state requires safety inspections, make sure the foglights can be overridden and shut off when you turn on the high-beams; It is illegal for foglights and high-beams to be on at the same time in Pennsylvania for some stupid reason, and having foglights that can turned on alongside the high-beams can make a vehicle fail inspection.

I also painted my wheels to match my body color. Was going to post up some pictures but they never transferred to my new tablet
