I looked thru all the paperwork in my glove box. I have the owner's manual, some kind of addendum (separate book) with warranty info, also maybe a third something-something...

I admit I was in a hurry when I perused these, but I could not find a recommended maintenance interval for something as simple as coolant change.

    Can someone please

    1) tell me what Toy factory guidelines exist for how often the crazy expensive red OEM coolant needs to be swapped out?

    2) this used to read "Please link me to a PDF for my truck's svc manual...", but I found another link to the Toyota TIS. Someone mentioned Toy stopped putting a service/maintenance intervals section in the owner's manual to increase dealership business. I guess that doesn't surprise me. Greedy f___kers.

    Thank you kindly.

Hmmm..the above is from the Toyota site when searching for a 2002 Tacoma owners manual. The same site, when looking for 2015 info, does not have this.

Well that was thoughtful, thank you! I guess my quest is now to know, did they use the same stinkin' coolant back in '03!!! I don't think they did, as I had an AWESOME '02 lifted Taco and I replaced the coolant a few times, and it was the green stuff we all know and love. (except cats)

2010 Tacoma "MY10 Warrantee & Maintenance Guide" (p51) recommends initial coolant change at 100,000 miles/ 120 months and every 50,000 miles/ 60 months thereafter, of course, using the "Toyota Red" stuff. Perhaps not a bad recommendation.

PM sent - "MY15 Warranty & Maintenance Guide" - answer found in footnote on page 51.
Also, refer to page 71 for coolant change guidance specific to the Toyota red stuff.

More information than one can digest in a month of Sundays regards 2015 Tacos can be found online. Suggest download as desired.

    My shit is all stock.
Toyota went to the bright pink, pre-mixed "Super Long Life" coolant in 2004. All second gen Tacos use that stuff. Flush it at 90-100k intervals.
