first case of trail rash

My 2020 TRD OR has its first case of trail rash with only 1700 miles on it. Front quarter is dented. Side mirror is cracked. Rear quarter is dented and scratched to bare metal. The panel that surrounds the doors is dented. Everything is functional, I don’t mind the look of the damage, i plan to drive this truck into the ground, and I have a $2500 deductible, but I feel like I need to turn this one into the insurance and get it repaired in case I decide to sell it down the road. Thoughts?









The side view mirror is a trooper. It took a tree on and suffered a small crack. It seems to have some sort of mechanism that allows it to come loose and then be pushed back into place. My window was open or it might have busted the window.

My rock sliders weren't much use against the trees, but they might have protected the doors.

Since people have asked, here is a shot of the whole side. The streaks on the door are just road salt and dirt.

 

Priority is to protect the bare metal from rust.

If you want to go hard core, rhino guard any trail damage symmetrical with your trucks body.

That sounds worse than some minor trail rash but we need pics!

My thought too. It’s winter here and road salt is everywhere. Spray some primer on it and live with it or turn it over to the body shop.

 

I would get it fixed. That’s a brand new truck

That's an insurance claim right there, unless your driving record is already complete shit.

I've only made an insurance claim once before when I drove my Subaru over a curb in a snow storm.

 

That's tough man, for a brand new truck. Post a picture of the whole side of that truck.

It wasn't much of a trail. It was some unused land with 6" of snow, some 20 degree slopes, and some trees.
