    I was driving back on the 680 and went through the fast track lane since I didn’t have cash and thinking they would just send me the toll fee like they do in WA state. But I’m being told otherwise...like it’s a $100 FINE!

    Anyone have insight into this?

    Can confirm about the fine. Lived in the Bay Area for quite a few years. Though I thought the fine was higher, especially if you're caught and the Fast Trak & plates don't match. Like using someone else's Fast Trak.

    There is some loophole if I remember correctly about opening a Fast Trak account allows you to waive a first time fee? Then you would just have to pay the regular toll fee.

    But I don't know about opening a Fast Trak account from a different state.

    During the 4X4 101 Class at the 2020 4X4 Jamboree in Hurricane, UT last week. At Sand Hollow Recreation Area. It was mostly (99%) Jeeps but a few brave Taco souls!! Learned a lot and much fun!!

    I did the exact same thing on my Honeymoon road trip. I didn't have cash either up near the Richmond Refinery heading northwest... got a notice in the mail for a ticket for like $60ish if I remember correctly. It was dumb, there were either gates that said Cash Only, or FastTrack... after researching they accept CC so WHY NOT STATE that instead of saying cash only?? I paid the fine and now I know.

    Home-built roof rack for spotting platform and/or kayaks & bikes & stuff. Home built bed drawers Firestone Ride-Rite airbags on the rear for level camp trailer towing
    It's not the fastest up the mountain, but I'm happy with it. The trailer is 3500# - well below the stated factory towing capacity. I had a double-cab short bed prior and this long bed has a much better ride when towing. Better tracking, less bouncing, just all around more "in control" of the tow.
