Well figured I’d start a build for this truck I picked up a week or so ago. It’s not going to be anything real fancy just lowered a little with some bigger wheels and tires. Going for the old school look.

So far everything is all original on the truck.

and yes I finally own another vehicle with a frame....

    Very cool!

A good friend of mine had one of those little Isuzu pickups back in the day. It had been customized in Southern California in the early '90s and he had it transported to Ohio.
The customization was correct for the time period, with a chopped roof, suicide doors and louvers in the hood. I loved that little truck, but I have no idea where it is today.

Thanks buddy. Im excited to start modding this little truck to just cruise around in. I don’t plan to do much to it.

Little update. Got a nice deal on this electric fan since the old original fan took a shit.

Also went with a Mishimoto thermostat probe kit for the fan. I’ll get all this wired up this weekend.

Finally going with either some whitewall 205/75r14 or 215/75r14 tires.

Well parts for these little trucks can be very hard to find and if you do find them they come with a nice price tag.

Anyways my grille’s paint was all chipped up and looked like shit up close. I looked online to try and buy one with no luck so I just decided to fix it myself. With a lot of work, taking my time and doing it right I think it came out pretty well. Now I need to paint/powder coat my bumpers. 2C1DE701-8207-4532-80F6-6E075E264D0C.jpg62FDA171-2BE9-4172-8F08-0DEC3B9A93D7.jpg

With updating all of this it’s making me want to buy some new wheels for it now.

It looks great, keep at it!

I actually like the steelies/dog dish wheels that are on it now, but they would look a lot better if you lost the white wall tires. Just my thoughts.

Wiper arms were rusted and blades were shot so got that all fixed up and looking nice.

Sanded down the arms and painted them along with wiper arm plastic garment. The truck is starting to look good to be 34 years old.

Sometimes it’s the small things that make the biggest impact.

For now ordering some 205/75r14 hankook white wall tires and keeping the stock wheels. Just going to clean and polish them up for now.

Something about this truck and white walls is addicting to me...

I love these little trucks. I’m always envious of the clean old rigs that can be found down south.
