    Yeah my plan when I need my next set of tires is to ship these off and have them converted to true beadlocks.

    I’ve got the 17x9 3.5” backspacing ones. I think the offset is -38? Never liked using offset, much prefer back spacing. And 1” wheel spacers in the back to clear shocks. I still rub the bed cage under articulation

    End cost is about the same as just buying beadlocks from the start. Who knows, maybe I’ll link the truck while it’s on jack stands lol

    That’s what I’m saying. I liked the scs but they weren’t a true beadlock. I was also on a budget and needing wheels and tires before winter. So the initial wheel purchase is like my down payment on beadlocks. Then when these tires are worn out in 2 years I can make my second payment and have them converted

    Got ya.. yeah i agree. I so badly want some beadlock -38 F5s.. and go 35s. That's my next move when these tires die.

    160 t-stat is officially in and the truck seems much happier overall. While I was doing that I did an oil change because I needed it anyway, general maintenance, tire rotation, air to 32... The truck runs like a champ!

    New temps at idle seem to be about 176, cruising highest temps appear to reach about 181. About 13 degrees cooler than OE. I'll take it. :thumbsup:

    No CEL yet, but it's only been 7 miles since I did the work. More updates to come on if the light turns on or not.

    Here is the comparison from the Mishimoto over the Motorad, the Motorad housing has the radiator clamp over it.

    ive got 2.5x12's in back. at full flex my tires clear great with 1 1/4" spacers and zero offset wheels. being that -38mm = 1 1/4" i figured id clear fine without any spacers. i just like the wheels i have. fn countersteer type x bronze. only 21lbs, great for burnouts.

    Mine must then run sooo much cooler due to the larger radiator. Glad you got it in on a stock engine, so we could get some data points.

    how would this impact me in the winter months? crappy heater performance? i got a 170* just so i wasnt on the extreme end of things. open to everyones feedback.

    With my heater running full blast at about 167 degrees at the time, it was really hot and I definitely did not notice an impact in heater performance. It was definitely hot enough to warm my tootsies. :p

    ive got heated seats too. but im pretty ocd about heat for defrosting/ heating the glass. so damp up here its needed for safe visibility. maybe post a pic of your s/c belt clearence so we can compare to the urd kit.

    I would think that the truck is still gonna heat up just fine, it just won’t get as hot but stock the heaters in these trucks just about cook you alive so I think you will be alright. Disclaimer, I live in california where it never gets too cold so I could be full of shit.

    There is literally zero difference between OE vs. Mishimoto in belt clearance.

    It's gotten to like 35 up here in NorCal. Jesse will be fine honestly.

    so before this truck i briefly owned a 15' sr5. heater absolutely sucked. this offroad 15 i own now has a drastic difference.
