2012 tacoma lift

I have a 2012 tacoma prerunner, plan on putting a 3in lift on the truck and want to run 255/85/16 on the truck. has anyone done this before and if so were wheel spacers required to clear the tires past the upper control, i know on my 99 tacoma a 275 hit the upper control arm without spacers. just trying to avoid spacers if possible.

But yeah you'll need some lif, what's the height of those tires? If more than 33in they'll run for sure.
