Aww that's awesome! I totally get work being a long ass week!!! I'm enjoying the night with my babe, watching some video game tourney thing online and relaxing. Not much outside time in the winter for me. I'll walk the dog for 30 to 60 minutes most days but that is about it til it gets to the 60s... I'm very ready for spring!

 

I agree totally about everyone in here. Great group of people!
As for any Third Gen forums I really just quickly browse to see the latest fuckery but don’t linger since I really enjoy nothing more than positive interactions with the Mods and I recognize my inability to keep quiet when surrounded by those that inhabit the third gen area.

I normally do cardiac telemetry and Neuro. I get pulled every where except ICU and labor and delivery. Not really sure which I enjoy more. I think I eventually want to do peds.

 

We’ve had a mild winter so far for the most part but lately it’s been really overcast, dark and damp. Worst combination for my old bones and hardware so I’m ready for warmer weather.

 

Can we just get some threads moved to the Dumgeon? the 3rd gen has like 3 on the burner. If it were a McDonalds, even they would throw em out

 

My wife did Med/Surg tele, ICU and ED. She had an ETOH pt corner her in a stairwell and try to beat the shit out of her. She transferred to Labor and Delivery where she’s been for the last 20 years. She just cut her L&D hours and picked up some hours as a RN Navigator in our Breast Care center.

 

I’d still like to get the Whatever’s out of The Dumbgeon. Who’s with me??

Can’t say I blame her. Worst I’ve had was an elderly man kick me in the stomach with his cast. He got mad because I wouldn’t let him walk on his broke ankle. Then I’ve been scratched and punched.

I give you all the props I can. Couldn’t do direct care. Love LOVE what I do and that there’s still a big connection but could never be treated like Nurses get messed with and not be in prison.
