Greetings everybody. I’m new on here (I bought a 2020 Tacoma SR 4x4 Access Cab on Black Friday). The one thing I’ve noticed about my truck is that there is a noticeable vibration around 25mph. Is this common with Tacomas? I’ll go back to the dealer next weekend to see if I can take a different one for a spin to see if it has the same vibration as mine. If it does, so be it; if not I’ll have the service department address it. Until then, I was wondering what the TW think tank has to say. Thanks in advance.

My 2019 Sport has it. It’s most noticeable when slowing down. Consistently starts at around 25mph and continues until stopped. Feels kinda like the truck downshifted to early, although it still does it if I roll to a stop in neutral. I’m at 5,000 miles and didn’t notice it until I installed the Eibach lift with 1” block in rear. Could have been there before, just didn’t notice it until a few weeks after the kit was installed.

I know there are a lot of threads on here about this subject but mine is stock and that’s what is so disappointing. I understand lift kits change the geometry and there are consequences for that but I certainly wasn’t expecting any issues based on the reputation of these things.

My strong suggestion is to drive it a few thousand miles , also try putting a couple hundred pounds in the bed to see if it minimizes the decel vibrations , I chased this same issue when I first got my 18 sr5 4x4 , did the brake drum and axle tsb , didn’t help. I can say that it’s way better now and I hardly notice it anymore . A lot of guys have had some success with the leaf spring tsb which is discussed up in the sticky section of the forum If I had it to do over again I would have just left it alone instead of having them take the back of my brand new truck apart . I freaking love my truck and it drives great now , quirks and all B542564A-B67B-4195-AA3A-A9AD4BEB7B51.jpg

It's the drum brakes. Tell them you want the rear disk tsb

I don't know... I've heard of quite of few people who have had their drums replaced and refinished, as well as axles replaced and the issue always comes back.

I'm thinking its maybe some axle wrap.

Same here. Also, a bed mat helped dampen mine a bit.

I have a lifted 2018 dcsb 4x4 and i lifted it and the rear driveshaft or diff vibrates at exactly 20-25mph everytime. Im going to try shims and then if that doesnt work a one piece driveshaft hopefully i can find one for a 3rd gen. Try figuring out whats causibg the vibe. Go 20-25 put it in nueutral and coast if the vibe goes away its in the drivetrain - axle or rear diff. If its in the front do the 4x4 trick while coasting. Let us know what u find out

My 19 Pro had them. Installed new tires at 3k miles, problem gone.

I've noticed when slowing down my 2020 does a pretty hard downshift right around 25 mph. You feel some vibration through the truck as the engine revs jump and the engine revs slow down the truck.

Is this what you guys are experiencing? Or is it a vibration like if you were constantly driving 25mph?
I only have 800 miles on the truck was going to give it some more miles before bringing it up to the dealer.
