Seems fair enough in this market
I’d probably pay that if the undercarriage and title are super clean. And if you don’t someone else will!

Check it out good and if it passes you should have a nice truck that you will get a lot of miles out of.

I can tell you first hand used gen 1's without a lot of miles are not cheap. But well worth it if you find what you want, in the condition you want. 04 was a great year as well, I owned one for 11 years. I'd buy it, if it's exactly what you are looking for, in the proper condition.

Make sure it is not a Truck Coming from a Winter Chemical State being dumped in Sunny California!!

Make sure the Timing Belt has been changed at least the first time ! People are known to dump vehicles because of the expense to pay to have it done.

Get under and check things out look for things that just don`t look right .

    Best of Luck

That's a solid deal for Socal in my opinion. If it checks out mechanically and frame wise I'd jump on it.

good find...it's history has some red flags. Accident reported to the right side in 2009...says it hit a parked car so may not have been all that bad. Worth looking into though.

Also says it was for sale and sold in early Oct of 2019 and then up for sale again at the end of the month, though that may have just been because this dealership bought it from another to sell over here? Not really sure how that works.

But the biggest red flag is the fact that it was a NH/NJ vehicle all this time until recently...there is going to be at least a fair amount of rust on that truck unless it was cared for intensely by the previous owners.

The frame replacement program for 1st gens is over (last 04s only qualified through the end of this year...so after today it technically ends for good for every 1st gen).

I would very much be skeptical of this truck, make sure to give it a good looking over.

That's sneaky: buy NJ truck, detail it and sell on CA market. Anyway all those high contrast photos only show blacken tires but no detail what is between them.

Looks like a clean truck from the pics... Even the underhood fasteners look clean.

Those 34 pictures of the driver side sure look nice, lol.

As others have said, that isn't too bad of a price, maybe a little high, but if it's in excellent condition, it's a solid buy. I would expect for that price the mileage to be lower, though.

As for the NJ thing, all you gotta do is get under there and look at the frame. if you see a bunch of thick goopy black crap all over it, and rusty bolts/hardware, you've likely got a case of rust cover-up. At that point you need to investigate further. Get a hammer and tap around on the frame and listen for a change in the "ping".

If the frame is at all questionable, that price is WAY high.

    Good frames are smooth:

I miss my 2003 double cab lx trd 4wd "special ordered" from dealership waited couple months (there are those here argue no such thing as special order). Got stolen from my driveway w 35k miles on it. Recovered 3 yrs later went to check it out vin# were replaced and registered dmv had to be inside job. New owner even put on alarm. When I ordered it they asked if I wanted the factory alarm option for $600 I said NO...no one steals in my neighborhood. LOL. Got 2nd gen as replacement but no 4x4 still like the body style 1st gen better and size. Think about that truck when I see one pass by especially silver w 4wd. Its the one that got away
