This followed me home today, I’m gonna start looking at modifications for my factory carbine 10/22 now, probably go with the tac-sol SB-X barrel to use with my suppressor, not sure what stock I will go with.

    Happy 10/22 day!
Ordered an extended mag release, 2 BX25 mags, and Rugers drop in trigger, now to find time to install them.

Standard 10-22 stripped down, epoxy painted receiver, receiver polished inside, Tony Kidd trigger group set at 1.5 pounds, Volquartsen carbon fiber wrapped tuned bbl, barrel is floated up to about one inch from the receiver, Volquartsen exact edge extractor, Leuipold 3x9 rimfire scope, Hogue overmolded stock, bolt buffer, bolt reworked (jeweled, firing pin pinned, radiused, bolt face squared), Aspirin size groups all day long.

I haven’t read all of this thread ... yet. I have a pretty good pile of 10/22s. And a couple of the T/C R22, which is an improved 10/22. I’ve had Brimstone do my trigger work, they offer a cheap option (Tier 1) that makes your trigger very similar to the BX trigger. And they offer other high end trigger options. I have Their Tier 2 triggers in a couple of my guns, super nice!

    https://brimstonegunsmithing.com/

1 - Older 10/22 with a BX trigger and a particularly accurate stock stainless barrel, it’s in a T/C R22 stock and has a 4x Weaver rimfire scope.

2 - Target 10/22 stainless, this one has a Brimstone Tier 2 trigger job, in a Magpul stock with a 6|18x Nikon scope. Great shooter.

3- Another 10/22 Target, stainless. This one has Brimstone’s upgraded BX trigger, in a Hogue Thumbhole stock with a big Athlon scope on it. Only had this one to the range a couple of times, looks promising.

4 - T/C R22, I actually have two of these. One has a Brimstone tuned trigger and a 2-7x Weaver. The other has a cheap holographic sight and is stock otherwise.

5 - Ruger Charger receiver, Green Mountain barrel, Tier 2 trigger, Houge stock and another 6-18x Nikon. This one is probably my most accurate 10/22.

6 - Saved the best for last, or at least the most fun. Ruger Charger with the Copper customs adapter and an arm brace. It’s got a little Sightmark holographic sight and a BX trigger. It super fun to shoot, if you haven’t tried one, you need to.

My memory failed me on the scopes.
The Charger Receiver, green mountain barrel in the tan Hogue stock has an 8-32x Mueller scope

The target model in the tan Magpul stock has a 6-18x Nikon

The target model in the lava colored Hogue thumbhole stock has a 4-20x Athlon Argos scope

Any takedowns in here? Looking at magpul and either the Hunter or Backpackers model seem to be the ticket for me. Gonna mod it with an integral suppressor so it will look just like a bull barrel

So I installed my BX trigger and extended mag release on my carbine today, now I'm shopping for a stock and barrel.
For stock I would like to go PRS style or thumbhole, barrel I want to be bull diameter and threaded for a suppressor, any recommendations?

Nice! my cousin is building an AR for 3 gun with a stock system similar to that.

I'm looking at the Volquartsen Titan stock in FDE and an X-ring fluted and threaded FDE barrel.
I need to find some type of base, and then I'm looking at the diamondback tactical 4-16 FFP scope.

Boyd's gunstocks are nice, if you are looking for a laminate. They have many colors to choose from.

Magpul also makes a nice stock.

As in most things 10/22, the choices are nearly limitless... ;)

I almost went laminate but that will be next build, I ordered the Magpul stock, Kidd bolt handle, a Bipod, a bolt buffer, and Tactical Solutions 15 MOA scope base.

    Sounds nice.

I like laminate, but I also like Magpul's stocks...

I guess one needs more than one! ;)
