Vehicle in question is a 2008 5 lug Tacoma.
My wheel bearings have started howling and need replacement. I can find a large amount of info for 6 lug Tacoma wheel bearing replacement but not 5 lug. I haven’t been able to find a single write up or video.
Does anyone have a resource for this? I had found one possible lead on here but the link was dead. I would like to replace the entire assembly if possible.
    Thank you!

Do you happen to know if the first gen is the same as the second gen? I had ordered a wheel bearing from rock auto but the part I received was a sealed bearing unit.

I don't 'know', but I'd be shocked if they are not. Things didn't really change all that much across the years.

Easy to tell though. Pull of the wheel, pop the dust cover and if you see a castle nut and cotter pin, it's the same.
