I'll post some videos up soon. The main reason I won was because I played it smarter than the other guys and only did what I needed to do to win. Like the farmers and frame carry, I could have gone balls out and killed myself but I only needed to beat the top guy by a few feet to seal it. Then stones I was super worried about but I flew on that shit and beat everyone easy. 315lb natural stone pick and carry was insane, but literally every event was a PR.

Truck pull sucked cause I didn't have cleats and it was in the dirt, but I still only missed top spot by a second or two. It was definitely fun, I can't wait to keep this training up and see what happens.

Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. I have been doing CrossFit for about 2 years now. I really enjoy the variety and my cardio has improved a ton. I work out at a friends garage. Its just a few of us and it fits me perfectly. If any of you guys are into Crossfit, I'm about 45 mins from the mecca, Crossfit Mayhem.

He’s competing in USAPL but the other good fed is USPA. There are other feds as well but those are 2 of the biggest. It’s all under IPF. I will be there, as well as @tacopaulo, cheering these boys on in April

I'm sure running your own gym is tons of hard work. How come you left it to and went to PL? Man I'm not strong but you guys that PL are beasts.

First event overhead medley. 270 log, 270 axle, 250 mouser block, 285 Viking press for reps. I went last on this so I had the advantage. If anyone wants log/axle advice this is text book form btw... Just saying.

Log went so smooth. Axle smooth but had to reset and press a second time to get the lock. The first guy flew through this and then hit 5 reps on the Viking press. I knew I wasn't doing that so I planned on 2nd. Guy before me dropped the mouser block on his face and then bowed out. Others got two overheads done or only one. So I only had to complete two to tie for second. Took my time, got two then tried mouser block for the hell of it and decided not worth the risk. Was super easy though once I got my fingers under it

Second event was farmers into deadlift. No one was getting far on these cause their grip failed. It was extremely heavy. The dude who came in last on the first event trucked through the farmers then repped out deadlift, it was nuts. No one else got to the deadlift. I planned to do one rep on it max after farmers and save energy but in the end I only had to take them about 30ft out of 50 to beat everybody but that beastly guy. So I took 2nd and points moved me to 1st. No vid, trust me it's boring.

Same for frame. No straps (sucked!) 700lb for 100ft. Everyone in my class sucked at this cause it was so heavy, we actually contested it lol one guy couldn't even get it off the ground. I only had to go 25ft to win so I dropped it there and took 1st. I had solid grip and felt great, could have gone further but no need. Also no vid.

Event three, my fear... Stone carry. I only needed three out of four stones to win this. Did mouser 310lb, natural (hell!) 335 I think? Then husafel 355lb. Easy work, dropped Husa early cause I had the W in the bag. Biceps felt great!

Last event, truck pull! Heavy as fuck! We were the last group after like 100 people so the path was basically sand. I've never pulled a truck, only trained sled pull. Everyone brought cleats except for me... Didn't even think about it. I took 3rd and missed the top spot by about 1.5 seconds. Not too shabby for first time, and you can see where my feet lose it a few times due to traction.
