    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
All the seals and stake nuts arrived to do my Transfer Case.

Didn't expect them till Monday... now the question becomes, do I really want to drop the transfer case right now?

I didn't know about the bolt hole and was able to get a little creative and line them back up before reinstalling. You should be fine.

Finally was able to install the front pump seal and the pump o-ring on my transmission today. Here’s to hoping it all solve my leaking problems. Now just to find the time to put it back in. :(

Nothing exciting just catching up on maintenance items.

Resolved the pink crusties with the lower radiator hose. Replaced the constant tension clamps for both upper and lower hoses. Also cleaned off the crusty gunk on the water inlet (probably why I wasn't getting a good seal there). Coolant flush as well.

Replaced spark plugs and oil change. Rotated tires.

Oh, and this stuff showed up late so it'll wait for next service.

Will do the trans filter when I install the Hayden and drain/fill trans fluid. Sometime after I work up the energy to remove the ARB bumper. :pccoffee:

barely 40 degrees out today, streets were sloppy with melting snow
stuck finger in frame hole in front of rear tire
found a bunch of settled black aluminum oxide bits like this from abrasive blasting several months ago

another failure at the prime splash point washed off all temporary corrosion protection, that is twice now it failed on me
re-wiped as much flash rust off as i could with the phosphoric acid, forget to wear safety glasses in the cold, had a bit of it hit me in the eye a couple of times
wow does that stuff sting in the eyeball
mixed up some extreme chassis primer to coat the naked metal with foam brush, not the best to apply in the upper 30s, it was very liquidy, will let it dry overnight below freezing
    maybe it will stick
    maybe it won't
    IDK
as long as it can get me through until the spring when temps warm back up to near 70s and not allow moisture and road chemicals to get in i should be good 2 go until i have to re-blast the area & make it real good as can get

My old Warn winch was too tall and took up too much room so I did a side mount Ic in the wheel well. This worked pretty good and knocked down charge temps 40 plus degrees. Never got snagged by the wheel, but definitely a concern.

So I recently orderd a Fmic off Amazon for less than 100 and a Zesuper 9500lb low profile winch for less than 280.

Took off the bumper and swapped winches no problem, the synthetic rope and low profile setup is definitely lighter than my old cable system (yes!). Started to put it back together and noticed some cracks in the core support, broken Ac bracket and were reminded the cab mounts were shot. Now is the time, so this turned into a cab mount swap with Energy Suspension bushings I got for last Christmas.
That took longer than expected, had to plasma cut one if the rear cab bolts off, ended up burning some of my hair off (ha!).

Not many pics, but the cab mounts are done, winch and bumper back on. Now I need to find room for PS and Transmission cooler, cut a couple inches off IC, make a slim profile handle for winch, and make piping.

I saw the Zesuper winches on Amazon recently...tempting price. Never heard of them though, are they decent? I guess you must think so since you bought one lol. I'm looking at getting a winch and weighing my options

Pulled off my bumper and winch to track down a clicking coming my front driver side core support body mount. Pulled it all apart to find the core support is cracked to shit there.

It's about a 6 month old core support too lol. Didn't last too long.

Gonna have to get creative to reinforce that area. As much as i'd like to make my own core support from scratch, I don't wanna get that crazy for now.

Finally got everything in order to finish my bumper swap. I had been pointed towards an hvac guy who had a bender and he made me a battery cage that doubles as my winch controller mount. Still needs to be painted but it allowed me to finally put my winch on the bumper and add my fogs that took forever to show up. Had to widen the headlight opening to allow the wire to go through it and put some trim on it to keep the wires from rubbing. Pretty happy with the instal and can put this project to bed.

Started a little project while I was on break from college to keep me busy and have a little fun. I've been wanting a rear bumper for a while and I've also been wanting to design my own armor for a while so this is what I cooked up in the kitchen. The design went through a LOT of changes and I forgot to save the final rendering but this one is the closest to the final design. Basically the only thing I changed was having the chamfer on the bottom and adding a stop below the license plate. The cool thing about doing this design is I was able to get measurements right off the computer when I was cutting pieces and when it was time to tack everything fit like a glove.
    IMG_1419.jpg

I decided to start with rectangular tubing to get a clean fillet on the front edge and reduce the amount of plasma cutting and grinding and stuff, not to mention it was easy to buy.

    IMG_1420.PNG.jpg

After getting everything cut it was time to tack and fit onto the modified bumper brackets

    IMG_1380.jpg
(Ignore the fact that this is from snapchat)

    IMG_1421.PNG.jpg
Then it was time to lay down some beads. Not bad for being taught at home right?

    IMG_1422.PNG.jpg IMG_1387.jpg
After adding a receiver and supports I gave it a couple coats of spray paint and tapped some holes for the license plate and license plate lights. I'm pretty stoked with how it turned out, I was going for a farm truck/offroad camper look and I think I got that. Let me know what you guys think!

I put some Amazon Chinese knockoffs in my bumper today to make it legal again. The seals crumbled on the stock ones when I took them off to switch it out and were leaking. Also had some little bugs living in them, which was kinda weird.
