Ordered this a few weeks back (was then, and still is on backorder):

    Received this yesterday:

Different color. Different adapter design. Inside dimension is a hair under 2 1/4" vs the advertised 2 1/8". Website still advertises the original product that I ordered.

Yes, this will work, but with 2 1/4" spacing, the slider's tubing now sits further away from the shaft of the hi-lift than it needs to be, and I can't move the adapter deeper under the tubing because then it interferes with the fill plates. The further the point of contact from the shaft, the more force is applied on the hi-lift. You know what would have worked great? The 2 1/8" spacing that is advertised.

Sure would be nice to receive what I actually pay for, without any surprises (good or bad).

For what? They can't magically fix this over the internet. Only solution is to send this one back, and get a replacement. And since I'm in Canada and had this shipped to the US (timed with other purchases to make it worth my while), I'd have to drive there, ship this back, get a new one, drive there again to pick it up. Not worth the hassle.

Simply update the product page so customers know what they're getting, and if you change your products after orders have been made, contact the customers to let them know of the changes, even if you think the changes are "improvements" and the customer would be happy to see them. Not rocket science.

So you jumped on the internets to vent other than try to ask the vendor what's up? Have you tried calling? Not trying to knock ya but this probably could of been fixed or you could of stated your thoughts via email and possibly had a replacement on the way already. Imho 1/8 of an inch isn't going to do anything when you are putting a round peg in a square hole so that it does not fly out.

Numerous people have had great experiences with @Mobtown Offroad, yea I'm sure there are hiccups here and there but we are all human. Now then, welcome to TW

Yes, the product page needs updating. Ill correct it tomorrow. All the differences are for good reasons.

It is now red vs yellow for durability. We had a lot of adhesion issues with the yellow. Lots of adapters returned and we had to send new. So theyre red now, not yellow.

The design updated too. We also found out hi lift casting tolerances suck. We could buy 10 lifts and all 10 will be a different size and shape. Again, shipped a bunch and again, didnt fit here and there and got returned. So, a design change and improvement was made.

2-1/4" vs 2-1/8": Again, manufacturing improvement that doesnt effect fit, form or function. Still fits on sliders and the adapter, still safer than just lifting without the adapter. Sliders built from 2" square tube, once powder coated were too tight in the 2-1/8", so we changed it.

Sorry youre unhappy with it. If you want, return it and Ill refund your money.

Mobtown is one of the best venders I have used! I'm very happy with my skids and sliders.
