Okay, I'm confused. Yours only unlocks the drivers door with one push of the fob, and your doors auto-lock and stay locked when in park? Mine does none of that and is 100% stock to my knowledge.

ok when i got it, the keyfob had to be pushed twice to unlock all doors. once just did drivers doors. when i put it in park it doesnt unlock doors.

after i messed around with techstream for a few mins, i changed the keyfob to one push unlock all doors. havent had time to find the unlock doors wwhen put in park.

Your manual tells you how to make the doors unlock when in park. Don’t need techstream for that

    For anybody else.
    a) Locking linked with the shift position

All the dooor are locked automatically when the selector lever is moved out of the "P" position with the ignition switch in the "ON" position. This is suppose to be the default setting for new vehicles.

    (b) Unlocking linked with the shift position

All the door are unlocked automatically when the selector lever is moved to the "P" position with the switch in the "ON" position.

    (c) Locking linked with the vehicle speed

All the doors are automatically locked when the vehicle speed reached 12 mph or higher. However, if any door is unlocked during driving, the auto function will not operate until the unlocked door is opened once.

    (d) All the doors are unlocked automatically when the driver's door is opened within 10 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from "ON" to the "ACC" or "LOCK" position.

    Setting the functions
    1. Close all the doors.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
    3. Within 10 seconds after the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position;
    +To set function (a)
Push and hold the front of the power door lockswitch for 5 seconds with the selector lever in the "P" position.
    +To set function (b)
Push and hold the rear of the power door lockswitch for 5 seconds with the selector switch in the "P" position.
    +To set fuction (c)
Push and hold the front of the power door lockswitch for 5 seconds with the selector switch in any position except "P".
    +To set function (d)
Push and hold the rear of the power door lockswitch for 5 seconds with the selector switch in any position except "P".

All the doors are automatically locked and unlocked when you release the power door lockswitch. This indicates that the functions is set. If all the doors do not lock and unlock, the time the switch was held may have been too short or too long. Perform the procedure over again starting at step 1.

If you want to cancel a function, repeat the procedure. Each time you perform the procedure, the function is set or cancelled.

I disconnect the battery for however long im working on something else. As far as I know, thats just as effective. As much as I hate to suggest it, the GXOR facebook group is a good resource, but beware, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. You must be cautious. Theres a lot of dick waving and a decent amount of elitism so I try not to spend much time on there

Sounds like I’m better off NOT checking out the GXOR page altogether then. Lol

To be fair, most of the guys are just normal guys, but it can get annoying since its not a forum format and also since its facebook. I definitely use it as a resource for troubleshooting. It is a HORRIBLE place to ask for opinions though and I would consider myself an OG GX guy

Decided to pull out android head unit. Will be ordering a new alpine soon. Also added a 5 channel amp in preparation for new head unit and speaker upgrade. Will also pull factory sub and get a box built that will fit in that same area with an 8” sub. Not sure one model sub yet, depends on box size and depth

Which headunit were you running? I'm kicking around the idea of getting a GROM

It also looked stock minus the color being a little off

With 160k on the clock, I'm starting to get some noise from the front end (random squeeks/creaks when articulating). Sounds to me like UCA/LCA bushings to me, but it's hard to pinpoint. Currently looking at options. I could do aftermarket bushings on everything for fairly cheap, stock bushings for a decent amount or full on upgrade the UCA's/coilovers with bag/spring conversion etc. I've heard that some of the aftermarket bushings end up making more noise than the worn out ones.

Anyone else go through this? Recommendations on aftermarket bushings? Would you just bite the bullet and re-do the whole suspension system?

i put in whiteline bushings in the LCA in the front. by far the best ones you can do. just a pain to install. will install in my tacoma next time i mess with them. for front UCA i have SPC arms and they have been fine for the year ive had them.
