So hopefully the picture uploads with this forum, I recently had a 6 inch kit with 35s installed on my 19 4x4 I’m deciding on if I should go with 4.88 gears or 5.29 what brought me to this is that if I go with 4.88 my install would be warrantied from the shop, I’d get better fuel economy than the 5.29s, and if I went with 5.29s I’d get more play room to add bumpers, bed and roof rack with a tent and full load out and keep the ratio close to factory. But the downside is the only local shop doesn’t carry 5.29 so I’d have to order them from another vendor to have the shop install them and it wouldn’t be warrantied. Just want to get some insight from someone who has 5.29 or 4.88 and what they recommend

Definitely 5.29 since you have 35s
I have 5.29 but only have skinny 33s. The new gears feel right on the truck

Have east coast gear supply send you completed 3rd's for your shop to install. Their gear set up is warranted for 5 years.

My shop will have a 90 installation warranty they offer but What does east coast gear supply’s warranty cover?

Without a doubt 5.29’s. I run the 4.88’s with 32’s and that is just right

... I'm willing to assume they are pretty reliable.

Pretty fair prices too. I may make the jump to 5.29s as well for mine.

Why don’t they carry 5.29? They are likely made from the same vendor they got 4.88s from, Nitro. They can’t order gears?

With that said 5.29s for sure, you won’t necessarily get better mpg with 4.88s either.

When I re-gear, I'm going 5.29's and I'm only on 33's.. She gets heavy when camping though..
