I dont know if there is a thread on this already. But I wanted to know has anyone taken out the rear seat for a double cab yet and what does it look like.

We don't haul any passengers, have considered getting a DCSB OR since you can't get the ACLB OR with a manual trans...I would rip out the rear seats for more storage area. Wonder if the SR AC rear seat delete panel would fit the DC's?

You can get a molle panel for back there. I ordered one for my access cab. They are in the group buy section.

With the upper seats and paneling removed you will get a lot of road noise.

If you want as much storage as possible then that AC panel is a waste of space. Like someone else said, I’d get one of the MOLLE panels from the next group buy or just leave it bare wall, with some sound deadening and MLV, etc to quiet it down.

I took a 4 hr drive with my rear seats down and I have my storage cubbies out and so it was just bare wall. It does get noisy. Especially at highway speed with wind.

I just finished my 60/40 rear seat delete. Love this mod as it frees up space in the rear. We sleep out of the rear, so having most of our gear up front makes more sense. We rarely ever carry a fourth or fifth passenger. I am still able to do so if need be, but they'll just be a little uncomfortable for a bit. Doggo approves!
