Getting shaking after my lift was installed. It had a small shake or vibration before. My last Tacoma did too. Is this just kind of normal with Tacoma’s?

Had this issue. When the lift was installed they didn't extent the brake lines. One of the wheels wouldn't brake or would only half brake while the other wheel was braking completely causing it too shake.

    Check the brake lines.

EDIT: thought you meant shaking while braking.

Mine did that due to warped rotors. I would start with that. Could also be drive line related but you'd feel that even without braking.

Normal characteristics when a lift is done without truly understanding how much actually needs to be changed to retain good ride quality. There is no cheap way of doing things the right way. Suspension components, driveline , brake lines and the list goes on and on. It costs a fortune to do things the best way.

Need some more info. What was all added in lift install? Plus did you install new wheels and tires at same time. If so spec on them?

Shake all the time? All speeds, see you mentioned on braking also.

yep id check the brake lines but I wouldn't have the same place do it.
When I asked why they didnt install the longer brake lines they said "it didnt come with the kit"

On a stock 2020, you should not have any shaking going on. Probably should have had that looked at under warranty before you lifted it. They are going to point fingers now for sure.

Who did the wheel alignment after lift?

Also could be the ecgs bushing/needle bearing. Any time you lift a taco, should replace needle bearing. It caused vibrations for me. Replaced it and BAM all is good now.

A local tire shop does the alignments for the guy who installed the lift. It only shakes when applying the brake.
