    Hi all,

I’m hoping to clean my throttle body sometime in the next week or two. I’m pretty inexperienced with working on my truck (95’ 2.7L 4x4) so I’m not sure I want to attempt it myself, but I would love to learn it. If anyone in the Phoenix area wants to help me clean the throttle body, I can come to you and bring a case of whatever beer you want! If TW terms and conditions don’t allow for this let me know and I’ll take this post down. Thanks all!

I'm a rookie and did my Maf and throttle body on my 2012 2nd. I'm in North scottsdale if you want a hand. I have the maf cleaner which worked on the throttle body, but probably worth buying throttle body cleaner but you are welcome to my maf cleaner. when did you do your plugs last? I was lazy you should have bought Throttle body gasket as this didn't fix my low gas mileage and even plugs (upgraded to iridium plugs - Amazon was almost half the cost of local). can't image the 1st gen is any more difficult. This is like 85k miles on plugs and never cleaned either Maf or throttle body. Definitely smoother, but I think i need to look at my O2 sensors next. and you need to disconnect the battery so it the ECU can relearn the clean MAF/TB. His method is the cheap-ass dealer model where they don't remove it and don't clean the dirty side aka the other side.4 bolts and a new gasket and we can easily clean the dirty part.
