A little something every chance we get.
Morning SATX! We had one big boom about 4 AM, and that was it. Couldn't hear any hard rain, but we ended with a big 0.25". That's OK, being wet prevents yard work. Going to have a bunch coming as we clear years of "on the fence" stuff away. Going to have to have a new fence from the posts (be steel now) up. That last big wind storm pretty much broke the rest of the old timber supports.
Hoping we get a little more today so I can get to my photos, and fix some other stuff inside. Spectrum says they fixed us up - we shall see.

Not sure what the OEM install is like but there are factory mounts under the weather stripping. Pull the rubber off. Mark where the mounts are at. Punch holes in the stripping. Then put the stripping back on and install the rack. You'll likely need to install and weather seal (caulk) the risers for the rack before putting the weather strip back on. But it's all very easy

I was thinking less rotating mass might help with efficiency. Then I did some more reading.

I'm out at least another two weeks. I'm at the Dr now, we'll see what he thinks. I'm getting cabin fever and I have resorted to daytime drinking more than once just sitting at home. I'm trying not to spend any more than I need to right now, I'd really like my dad's help with this one. Here's one of his projects

    8112CFB4-89FE-441B-9554-28DFC3EFB5EA.jpg 595F4859-308F-4118-9B74-DC567D8F390B.jpg

That's a Porsche 914 with a long block 350 he shoved in for autocross. He (and I) hand built the car.

I had originally planned to go with the heavy. Then I started thinking since I'll have near infinite gearing off-road I could work on making it more efficient on-road. I'm still going to follow that route but I'm going to have to continue research.

    Makes two of us!

At first, I thought "some worked on a 914?", then I saw. Clean. And I love stacks.

Independently wealthy? I gotta get back on lotto - PCH is just too much work!

914s are cool. I had a buddy in trade school with a 914.
