    Good afternoon,

I know there is a issue with a rattling dash near the passenger side of the truck, in specific the area where the a pillar meets the speaker. But my truck is not rattling there, it’s rattling along the windshield on the passenger side where the dash meets the window, only happens when it gets below 40° as we all know. Is putt some small foam by the speaker and a pillar, is there something I can put along the dash were it meets the windshield?

You can install foam caulk backer rod. Comes in a roll any hardware/home improvement store. Comes in all different diameters. Push it down in there with a paint stick, not to scratch anything. Guessing 3/8" to 1/2" would work. Did this in my old IS 350.

I had the same thing, but it turned out to be the vent by the drivers window. Put a little double sided foam tape in it, worked for a week or two and now it's back.

No if you push it down far enough. It's hidden by the black at the bottom of windshield, plus get the black, or charcoal grey backer rod.

My taco is 18k miles and there was a rattle so I checked and the speaker cover rubbed against the pillar cover and there is a small curve groove now.

My '17 just started making noise in this area... it only lasts a couple minutes until the cab warms up...it almost sounds like the speaker crackling instead of a rattle.
