New exhaust?

New guy here. I own a 2016 limited tacoma I had someone steal my catalytic converter any recommendations for a delete or another route to go with this.

How is the sound on that? I don’t want my truck to sound like a dam lawnmower or crazy loud

 

A catless y pipe probably going to change the sound quite a bit. if you don't want to mess with the sound then replacement cats might be the best option

 

You probably won't pass an annual inspection without a cat. An emission test is required in TX to renew your plates.

 

No way you'll get through inspection without the cat. It will probably run like crap too as it is programmed to have it. Bite the bullit and replace it with a stock system.

I’m not worried about the inspection there’s ways around it. I just don’t wanna have my truck sound like crap and run like shit. I don’t wanna go get a new cat on it and get robbed again.

If you have full coverage insurance then it should be covered.

Replace OEM cats with insurance and get skids to maybe deter it from happening again?

Skids don't seem to completely cover it, but not sure what else you can do besides some custom metal fab to prevent access to the cats.
