I don't know... Toyo OC Muds' are right up there with Coopers. He's running (or was at the time), 255/85/16s. :notsure:

I almost went with Toyo until I saw the deal on the Coops.

That wouldnt be the first time Ive heard of balancing issues with Toyo open country tires. Its why I quit considering the AT2 as an option for my truck.

BB balance is nice when you wheel a lot because chunking out and ripping lugs off the tires or packing them doesn't require going in for a rebalance

Just got done getting my truck inspected at Firestone. They had a couple of vehicles waiting to be inspected in front of me. So I give them the keys and sit down. About 5 minutes later I see a guy walk out with my keys. I'm like the last person in line for inspections. So obviously driving the lifted 04 Tacoma is more important than the 96 Camry parked next to me. Well I had the parking brake on since I parked on a steep hill and it's habit from driving the flatbed now. The guy tried driving off with it on then finally got it off. At this point I was worried.

So when he did his joyride around the block I walk over to the window into the garage and waited. Well the same tech couldn't get the hood open (gotta reach in the grille bud) and was struggling. When I saw him go grab something from a toolbox to pry with I jogged over to the bay and told the guy how to open it. He said "dude this truck is old as shit how was I supposed to know?!?". At this point I'm pissed. I stood next to the guy for the rest of the inspection. The manager apologized at the counter but like what the heck. That leaves Goodyear, Firestone, Meineke, Midas, and a basically every auto chain store out of the picture for inspections. And the local businesses are even worse about this stuff here in San Angelo. Might just have to go in and ask if I can observe inspections from now on. Really annoying thing to ask but better that than a damaged truck.

It's a sad day when you don't have a shop you feel you can trust. It's an EVEN SADDER when you can't even trust the stupid inspection people:bananadead:.... You're definitely allowed to be worked up.... Going to the toolbox to get something to open the hood.... I'd have been a lil bugged as well:smack:

I let Toyota inspect my truck for this exact reason. They cant charge any more than the state fees so Im fine with it.

    Fuuuuu

    I'd be pissed.

Good thing you were able to observe what was going on; I get that everyone wants to "watch" what's going on and give their own .02..that's annoying if you're the guy working on something. But that dumbass had no business working on your truck at all...or anyone else's vehicle.

I didn't even consider the dealer. Thanks for bringing that option up.

Hell, that story sounds just like my Discount tire one. seriously causes u to be a fuckin weirdo going forth with having services done to the truck. Imo tho, it's needed. People wanna handle their jobs like a party.

Works work, I don't want u making money risking my own pride and joy of a vehicle to be endangered by u having "fun".

I initially thought that you were implying that he hit up his dealer and was newly high :bananadead:
