    Is this possible? I imagine it is, but is there anything to be aware of such as superior / inferior equipment and processes? Any ideas on what something like this would cost? Say, a door shell for example.

    A hundred of us could definitely afford it. You can have a whole car scanned (exterior only) for a few grand.

    Scanning is affordable. What you do with that scan is not.

    Why does this thread disregard what’s already on the market?!? The guy who built my rear bumper has a full 3D scan in solid works of the body and separately the frame of the Tacoma. It’s a scan he bought for $50 bucks or something low like that.
