Relocated upper shock mounts, relocated lower shock mounts, added bump stops, limit straps, Ford Ranger shackles and shackle hanger brace done! Getting 10.5” of bumped/strapped travel from this set up (Dakar spring packs) and 12” overall cycled travel with 11” travel shocks....

I ended up re working the upper limit strap mounts after last weeks test session. The tabs were actually making contact with each other under full bump bottom out. Just enough to give me a witness mark on the straps. I guess I measured too close. So I made a new upper mount/frame gusset. Moocho bettero.

Great idea for mounting the bumps. I was planning to cut the whole mount off. Glad I saw this.

Its a new cantilever design, all 4 wheels with one shock.

Bypasses in today. They’re very loud. Valving sheet says 15/10 and I got some base line settings from down south on tube settings. Rebound seem really slow, but gonna let them break in and push them some before I start adjusting more...

Interesting reservoir mount. Is there a backing plate or fender washers in the bed to keep the bolt heads from pulling through over time?

no, just washers. I’m not worried about it at all. I put them there due to it’s their natural position they want to be in and keeps the hoses clear. So why not?

I'm not saying that it's a bad place for them. I've just never seen them mounted there before. I'd just be worried about the bed trying to tear out over time from vibrations without some significant backing to help sandwich the bed and stabilize the mount.

I highly doubt it, they’re solid. Maybe if it was a race truck, yes. But for my needs it’s more than adequate

Went out and tested the baseline tune for these bypass shocks today. I’m very happy. Having a “bump zone”
and nitrogen bump stops makes bottoming very bearable. We had some hard hits today but overall the truck performed very well. I’m impressed. For a daily driver, this truck is extremely capable. I’m learning to trust the suspension too, dive hard into obstacles, let it do its job. The suspension is pretty dialed now. Other than a revalve on the front, it’s on point. Also was the first time using harnesses in a vehicle. We both liked it, very solid and you’re strapped to the seats, you don’t really move, especially through the rough and whooped sections. Good day....
