I have a 2017 TRD Sport, and one of the best upgrades I've done was to replace the stock head unit with the Pioneer AVIC-W8400NEX - wireless Carplay and Android Auto, better sound, better navigation for those times I'm out of cell range, full retention of steering wheel controls, and OBD2 connection.

I've now got a 2020 Pro on order, and was hoping to move the Pioneer into the new truck. Checked Crutchfield, and they don't have a recommended harness for the 2020s, so I reached out to iDatalink, makers of my current Maestro RR harness. Looks like I'm out of luck, for now. Figured I'd share with the forum, in case anyone else is in the same boat...

They will almost certainly be making firmware for the 2020. It uses the same wiring as some of the other 2018-19 Toyota’s so I wouldn’t worry about it. I give it a few months

Do we know if the Maestro setup loses any factory screen or settings?

it doesn't lose anything I've found except turn-by-turn NAV on the cluster screen. Not a deal breaker for most people.

However, as mentioned above, there is currently not firmware for the 2020 Tacoma. But I am confident we will have it sooner rather than later
