Has anyone installing these had issues with getting the longer carrier bearing cross member bolt installed? I have a similar set of sliders I got from a friend (not mobtown), and every time I remove the cross member bolt, I can't get the hole to align to get a new bolt in. After 15 to 20 mins of fighting I'm able to get the stock bolt back in. I've read in the Mobtown install instructions this may happen b/c the frame can move apart if you removed the bolts so you should ratchet strap the frame rails to keep them from stretching but that didn't really help either. Am I the only one having this issue with the cross member bolt?

We see it on occasion when we do installs. The chassis spreads outward once the bolt is removed. We recommend using a C clamp and compressing the chassis against the rock slider flange. We supply a grade 10.9 bolt that is longer than the stock bolt as well (which is not hardened) so you don't have issues shearing the head off of the bolt if you drag it across a rock. M10 x 1.25, 30 mm Long Zinc Plate Grade 10.9 bolt is what we send if you want to get a couple. It helps when installing as well.

I'm not talking about the bolt hole on the slider aligning with the cross member hole, I'm just taking about the the cross member hole itself. As if I wasn't even installing anything and I just removed the cross member bolt and wanted to install the longer suggested bolt you send out, I feel it's almost impossible to do so b/c I fee the holes for the cross member and frame don't align perfectly anymore after removing the bolt. Then when I try to put the stock bolt back in it's a battle just to get it to go back in. I can only think it actually goes back in b/c it may be tapered a little at the end to make it easier to reinstall. I already have the m10x1.24,30mm bolts and I can't get one to start threading so I give up and put my old stock bolt back in and fight with it for 20 mins just to get it to start threading and go in straight. I've even tried using a punch to align the holes better but it didn't work. Maybe I need to loosen the other side while I try to install one side with the new bolt to give some wiggle room maybe?
    Hope that makes sense.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

You need to ratchet strap the frame your frame is opening up.

I tried that but it didn't seem to help. It was just a cheap harbor freight orange strap. Maybe I'll put two on there and see if that will make a difference. Do you think loosening the other side will help also?

Edit: I did only try to strap it after I had removed the bolt so maybe if I strap it well with 2 straps then remove the bolt it wont move at all. I just have a fear of not being able to even get the stock bolt back in but I think the cross member is held in by 2 other bolts on the side of the frame too. Which is why I didn't think it would spread apart but maybe those bolts don't hold the cross member in like I think they do.
