I could see them as an investment; it's not like you pissed the money away on scratch-off lottery tickets and Diet Shasta Orange.

I'm pretty confident that if I had to sell my 1911 anytime soon, it wouldn't take long to find a buyer.

I would do it separately, sliced taters, squash and asparagus a little butter, seasoning salt then at the end a little Parmesan cheese.

Don't judge people that buy scratches!

    Stock. SR5 Package #2.

    Good choice.
Reasonable price, reliable, nicely finished, decent trigger.
Browning always puts nice wood on their Citoris.
I once had a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon that was comparable.

You'll pay a helluva lot more for a Krieghoff or Perazzi.
The one advantage is in the triggers, and some are willing to pay a lot for that.

I went Krieghoff for the trigger because I eventually developed a flinch.
Too many tens of thousands of rounds fired, year after year.
That only worked for so long before I had to go with release trigger.
Krieghoff in Ottsville, PA did the conversions.

With a release you set the trigger and when you release it...boom.
If for whatever reason you don't fire, you gotta reach over and open the thumb latch with your off hand and open the gun.

I have releases in all 3 trap guns: Krieghoff K-80, KX-5, and Beretta 391.
A few guys at the club have KX-5s and a couple times grabbed mine off the rack to shoot a round.
They try to shoot and "click".
    What the...
Then they let off the trigger.
    Boom! Surprise!

Not such a big deal as some may think.
We strictly enforce the rule to keep the firearm open til ready to shoot.
And keep it pointed downrange until you open the receiver.

Anyway, they didn't notice the big orange sticker on the heel of the pistol grip with the "R" on it.
My Pals (?) say the R stands for Retard trigger.
