    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Edit: it now appears that the accident was caused by a faulty refrigerator in their tent. Not sure if it was refrigerant, propane or carbon monoxide (some refrigerators are propane powered and use a flame to work) that the family succumbed to:

Prior post : Be careful what you are using inside your tent to heat it. If it uses flames and does not have vented exhaust that stays out of the tent, you are risking getting carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Stoves are the obvious bad item to use for heating in a tent, but even those propane heaters with built in CO detectors can go faulty. Always keep a window open when using a flame powered heater, and at the very least also use a battery powered CO detector when you do!

They didn’t say what type of equipment was the cause for this family’s accident, but maybe they were either cooking or heating their tent and had CO poisoning?
