I thought it was the metal connection into the intake that was leaking until I looked at it from a different angle. Whoops! I go this...

Yes and no, I was easily able to drill the initial quarter inch hole through both the flange and the frame, but was unable to get the half inch done.

The overall job was pretty easy with the exception of figuring out what is oriented in what way.

I left a skid plate off because there is no clear instruction on which way splash guard should be facing and whether or not the skid plate should be below or above the ARB splash guard

I don't have the ARB splash guard - it was donated to the trail I believe by its PO ;) Anyway, your skid plate mounts to the that cross support. Pictured here - there are clip inserts. Snap them into that rectanglish opening (see red line) and then use your factory skid plate bolts there. Have gloves on - sometimes when you torque them down that clip can come out and trust me when I say its sharp. You don't want that damn clip coming loose and spinning into your fingertip as you hold that clip in place.

Those damn square cap nuts didn't give you any issues? If not, I really need to order a new hardware bag from ARB and just replace the entire deal. These are getting old and a bit worn.

So embarrassingly enough they did but only because I didnt realize some were for m8 and others for m10. Once I figured out why the other 2 didn't go on, I undid everything and put the correct ones on. It's all fastened down and aligned pretty well.

Like I said I hope to get my winch install later down the road and now knowing what's involved with the ARB, my only gripe will be getting those holes drilled on the bottom. Otherwise it was cake.

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this but... I think I will keep my chrome grille. lol Blacked out isn't bad but the little bit of remaining chrome isn't bad either.

Nice job bud! Looks great! Still would've liked to see the winch go on prior but totally understand the time constraints. Kick ass!

Well, I found a vacuum leak, but I didn't find the vacuum leak that is the source of my woes. I'll have to keep looking - that rough idle/clicking is driving me nuts.

Quick question on bed hooks. :crapstorm: What is the thread size/pitch of those screws/bolts? Have the hooks, that someone had pulled while removing the bed liner out of the bed that I purchased here in Florida. Just need to pick some up bolts at Home Depot.
