Hey all, I know the subject has been beat to death, but I can't find what I need in Google or the forums.

I drive an 09 DCSB sport. I recently upgraded to the 5100/884 combo set at 0 and it's too rough for my liking. I know it's not a Cadillac, but I live in Wisconsin where the roads are crappy and the front end feels way too jarring over bumps and quick inclines like parking lot entrances. The only way I can really describe it is that it feels similar to when you hit a jump in a car with crapped out suspension, there's a definitive smacking feeling and I'd prefer it to absorb more.

Any ideas on what I can do to keep 1.5-2" of lift and absorb some of the impact better?

I was thinking about 1) a progressive aftermarket coil, 2) a lower rate coil, or 3) 3rd gen OR coils and setting the 5100s at . 85.

Could it be something other than my springs or shocks?

    Any ideas would be appreciated

Of the OME coils there are only two rates 590 and 660. The other difference is in free length. I don't see changing to any of the other OME springs providing a better ride or less jarring ride in the conditions described. If all is installed correctly I would ask what tires and tire pressures are you running. Next would be you would need to consider a different shock. I currently use 5100 with stock springs (2nd gen off road model) on the third notch and experience the same thing. Some what jarring on similar features but live with it because of the improvement over stock in other situations. I run a SL tire (not LT) at 33-35psi. I could go down to 30psi and be fine but prefer the 33-35 for my driving cond..

Sell them, get a set of real adjustable coilovers. Good luck with your truck.

This might be terrible advice, but after installing 5100s with stiff coils on my truck it sucked offroad until I removed my sway bar
