Get the bed extender... I got it with my package and use it sooo much more than I thought I would!

 

Dealer claims a factory order is 8 week lead time. Not a big deal as far as I'm concerned.

Bigger issue is the dealer has you by the short hairs and prices accordingly.

Same boat as you. The wife and I were trying to have kids but it wasn't in God's plans. So after dealing with that we decided it was time for me to get a new car. Got the AC that I wanted. Black with manual tranny.

As it is only a few months old and I currently don't have the funds it is still stock.

 

I put a deposit on this exact truck this morning.

Plus premium sport package, tech package, LEDs, tonneau cover, floor liners/sill protectors, bed lighting, bed mat, hood graphics, mudguards, TRD exhaust, TRD shift knob, and blacked out emblems.

12 week build time.

In for a penny! In for a pound!!!

 

Congrats, the Texas Factory only builds manuals once every few months so it depends where your order falls in their build cycle, took about 4 months to get mine but was well worth the wait.

 

The salesman told me this one will be built in Mexico. Bummer.

 

Congrats! I feel like these are genuine unicorns in the Tacoma world. Can't imagine you had much leverage in the negotiation given a pre-order. Hope it shows up soon for you.

 

Unicorn right? I'm not in any pressing need for the truck so time is on my side, but I"m also realistic knowing I may have to be flexible on color and options.

They looking wonky to me. They aren't super long by truck standards, but in proportion to the width and height of Tacoma, they do look silly-long. Almost like a school bus.

 

They aren’t golden nuggets, but there’s less of them.

 

DCLB ruins that wheel area to body area ratio. Toyota pickups have always had that look, more like a roller skate than a skate board. Obviously not AS roller skate as a jeep, but then again jeeps are useless so who cares.
