    Regular old pliers does the job. Thought about getting the cap wrench that's goes over filter but pliers works fine. Don't be stubborn tough guy you will need it if its on too tight

    Since I don't buy new vehicles I don't have control over how tight the oil filter is on until after it's off. This is my go to assortment.

    Damn near. Sometimes though it seems like the oil filter was put on with an impact and that's when that pry bar comes out, it becomes a sword lol.

    This is what i do. Cheap, SUPER effective, and SO easy, I already got a 3/8ths ratchet out for the drain plug pop an extension on and boom spin the bitch off.
