Was the fee disclosed beforehand? A lot of business owners hate visa/MasterCard because they skim their profits.

Maybe the business has a grudge with visa and the convenience fee is a little heavy handed to discourage people from paying with credit.

There are many ways to pay “cash” without using paper money. Bank draft, Interac Debit, Cheque. Or your cousin hits the bank and grabs cash cash.

I think we paid somewhere between 2.5-3.5% depending on the card type.

I do not believe the fee was disclosed beforehand. I think it’s just a body shop taking advantage of the fact that they’re the only body shop in the area.

am Pro grille w/lights, black tailgate letters, black badging, 265-70-17 Duratrac "c", Rear seat platform,
I'm the parts manager at a dealership. My department gets charged back an average of $3k per month for "merchandising fees" which is essentially my share of what we pay out to the credit card companies each month for allowing our customers to pay by card. We pay out almost $11K per month in credit card fees which we don't charge back to our customers in any obvious ways. In today's market most companies bury that expense into the price of their products or services without making it so obvious. I'll admit the $150 charge he paid was a bit high but it probably cost the shop almost $100 (at a rate of up to 6% based on their average number of transactions per month). Most shops will try to do the job cheaper for you if they know its a cash job and not an insurance job. They often cut into their own profits to try to make the repair more affordable for the customer. When that "cash" job turns into a credit card charge they just don't want to absorb that additional expense charged back to them by the credit card company. He admittedly "read them the riot act" so I can't see where they would have wanted to work anything better out at that point.

When I still had the factory grille and chrome emblems, I could have gone for this look, but now it’s just too much damn chrome!

I used to drive one occasionally when I worked in a warehouse, I recall the ones with Automatics having a weird system, some kind of brake drum on the driveshaft to hold it when parked.

That’s the “biohazard” door panel that had moss growing on it...

You should see it now that I’ve cleaned it up!

Damaged a tweeter cover while trying to get dimensions for a stereo install in 2013; Thought true tweeter grille was removable but it wasn’t...

It is currently held in with Gorilla Glue and doesn’t look the greatest! I was also curious to see if the Workhorse solution could get the shit off of the arm rest on the panel from the donor truck; Plus I only paid ten bucks!

And I did it with this amazing stuff!

    D4D3B4E2-C98A-408D-85F0-1DBE267CA7E8.jpg

I was first introduced to Workhorse when I got the job at the detail shop; Before I left, I asked my boss if there any way I could buy some of my own. He said that his supplier only sold in bulk to commercial clients; I was heartbroken, until a coworker at my new job found it online (Adsco)! I ordered four cans of the stuff!

I went to Home Depot to buy masks for housework purposes and found that the Coronavirus outbreak has caused people to stock up, and pretty much decimate the local Home Depot’s inventory in the process...

In 2013 or 2014, I bought a respirator like the ones auto body techs use when spraypainting. That was a great mask for DIY stuff where respiratory protection was required, but it disappeared in 2015-2016 (around the time we moved). I found the same respirator at Home Depot, for pretty much the same price I paid for it at Sears back in 2014, and bought it pretty much on the spot!
