Auto start trdpro 2020

So I’ve seen owners with trd pro 2020s auto start they’re vehicle using the remote, press lock button twice and the third time press and hold. I also tried using the Toyota app, and have everything set up already, the unlock button and lock button works from my mobile phone. But the auto start on phone does not work ethier. I want to mention that I do have a Automatic transmission. I researched that the manual does not have auto start. Can someone please help me? Here are the photo of what the notifications says

So I tried to remote start the car, and just can’t get it to work. I’m comming to think my truck doesn’t have auto start. Just kinda pissed because all the other 2020s auto Trans especially trd pro has it. I don’t know...

 

If you lock the doors and then immediately try to start it, it won't work. You have to let the security system set (the red security light inside your truck near the radio will go from flashing to being solid), once it's set then you can try the three button push on the remote (holding the third). For what it's worth, not all 2020 autos have the remote start.

Anyways from all the people I know that has 2020s have auto start. I’ll go ask the dealer ship what’s up, maybe I just have one of those trd”s without auto start.

Yea, it’s crazy cause I watched a video on YouTube and this black trd pro 2020 on the sticker didn’t say it has auto start, and the guy in the video mentions that comment as well. Then he uses his key fob to start it.

 

I say return to dealer and make them figure it out.

 

Yea, but if sticker doesn’t say it has it than I know who wins that argument.

 

I'm sure the Pros have them as a standard package.

Did your pro come with a dynamic navigation package?

 

The dealership will be useless. Mine didn’t even realize the truck they sold me had that feature and couldn’t have cared any less on showing me how to use it if they did. I picked up the truck and got the hell out of there. The next day I called Toyota tech support and had them help me set everything up. I found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

 

My salesman told that I could only remote start was with the APP I had to put on my phone. Proved him wrong with the FOB.

 

You have to make sure the truck is locked or it it wont remote start.

 

The app auto start is embedded in a Toyota feature embedded in another package and my dealer (and most) didn't know they released that for the 20s. The window sticker doesn't say "remote start", it will say something like "technology package", and it's up to the dealer or yourself to find out what's in that package from Toyota.

 

Yep this, in fact my dealer made a comment about remote start not even being available for the Tacomas. As said, this isn't a feature that's listed on the window sticker.

 

I have an off road without it. It's part of packages, it's the Toyota "remote connect", for the off road it takes the premium package. Not sure about the pro.
