The station closest to where I live changes prices at least once/day. In the last week it has varied between $2.14 to $2.29. I filled up yesterday and caught it at $2.17, an hour ago it was $2.14.

I don't want to hear anyone complain about gas prices. If it were selling for $2.50/gal it would be less than 1/2 what I paid for gas the 1st year I had a drivers license relative to inflation. If you factor in for today's average household income gas should be around $5.50/gallon compared to the mid to late 1970's.

And when you consider the MUCH better fuel mileage vehicles get today we are spending about 1/4 of what it cost to travel the same distance back in the day. Guys complain about Tacoma's getting 16-18 mpg. I was lucky to see double digits on the hwy with my 1st two 4X4's. Around 6-8 mpg around town and 10-11 hwy.
