Ran into this little guy at Bears vet visit, Thursday.

    33C96FC3-0EBB-4B0E-95D7-3B00D9CEFA33.jpg

As for Bear, he’s doing better, but still not out of the woods. Going up and down stairs for the first time in a couple weeks, but his right rear leg is still very weak. Thursday was x rays and blood draw. X rays showed usual disk loss in spine around thoracic 4-5 and 5-6. As well as the same around 10-11 and 11–12. But that doesn’t seem unusual for a dog who’ll be 15 in two weeks. I guess it could be a pinched nerve. Blood draw is for possible Lyme disease.

    Results on Monday.

I wish I was 30 years younger so I could keep up with my Grand-dog. I just spent an hour out in the yard with her.FA610C5E-5097-44C6-9CAE-30CDEA8A8ECC.jpg

Had a semi-successful first hunt with Lady. Definitely had a good time. She loved working the fields and I think she enjoyed sleeping in everyone's beds even more. She had to sample every bed before we left. Haha.

Really enjoyed your pictures. Most of the pheasant left California years ago. I really miss hunting them. Quail and Dove still abound in my area. Ducks as well. Great looking dog.

Thanks! Same to you, great looking dog. The best year we had pheasant hunting in Kansas was with a blonde lab. That dog could work. My GSP is a little over a year old. Still teaching her the ropes. We do not have any pheasant here in Oklahoma, but the quail have been coming back. Need to work her more on both. I love watching working dogs do their thing.
