As much as I hate to do it, the time has come to part with my Tacoma. I went and bought a tractor and trailer and the little Taco won't pull it (Regular Cab, I-4, 5-Speed, 4x4). The tractor and trailer is just too much for it. Looks like I am going to have to move into a full size rig.

Thinking of moving into the big brother Tundra.

I did not buy it new but if I remember right I gave about $12K or $13K for it. Got 135,000 mile on her now and she still runs fantastic.

Ahh. Before I recently buy my 3rd gen. I had an opportunity to buy a 2010 regular cab 4x2 auto red regular cab. It had 56k miles. One owner all records no rust. Dealer was asking 13.2k but at the time I thought it was too small for daily driver

Mine has been the perfect daily driver. Sucks to sell it because I just did the bucket seat and center console conversion on it and put new wheels and tires on it.

Hey Rmodel65 I just started a conversation with you. Not sure if that is a PM or not. I would post it for sale on Tacoma World, but being a fairly new user with not many posts under my belt they don’t let me do that yet.

Sweet Regular Cab!! Didn't catch what year? Price new for my 07 was 17,777. Only option was a/c. Too bad you have to sell but wishing you good luck with the sale and have fun with your new truck.

This is embarrassing to ask, but what does owning a tractor & trailer have to do with a reg. cab Taco. I owned a Tractor & trailer for yrs. while owning a Reg. cab Nissan. I don't know why you would try, but if your reg. cab Taco won't pull your rig, I wouldn't feel comfortable pulling it with a Tundra either. I'm sure I've missed something.

You did. He’s got a mid size manual and wants to pull something heavy. He needs a bigger truck to handle the weight.

Rexfordian13 you are correct except my tractor is green! Gotta know your limitations when pulling machinery of you get pushed down the rode and into a ditch or worse!

I apologize, I thought he got a tractor & trailer, not a tractor & trailer, If he'd said a tractor & trailer, I'd have known what he had. Yep, don't have a clue how big, or heavy, your load will be, but maybe a 3/4 or 1 ton, remember pulling it won't be near as much problem as stopping it. I hate it for you, I love the reg. cabs, I wouldn't own anything else, & yours looks really good, except for the black wheels. Good luck.

I am far from an expert on the subject, but I've heard Tundras are not the greatest trucks for towing.
