Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I'd definitely be curious to see what a tune for the GX 460 can do.

 

I’m on 2.0 4.88 beta 04b31 2019, I know that it disables the tune in adaptive cruise. But I think it’s disabling even when I long hold into regular cruise control. Or atleast for sure gear lock is not working in regular cruise control (long press cc button). Is this normal? Gear lock works correctly as soon as I turn all cc functions off. I guess it would make sense for gear lock to turn off for regular cc but just wasn’t sure.

truck is on 33’s 2.5” lift 5.29 gears.

Your good matt honestly the more time you take now (hopefully) the less headache or rev. Later just wish my truck didnt cut the gas flow at 6k when trying to pass or race another ford trying to be cool.

Awesome. User Feedback on this new update will be the determining factor of if I buy the tune. I don’t have any major complaints with my truck. I think the shifting is fine, but wouldn’t mind better throttle response like ECT has without holding 3rd gear so long being all herky jerky. ECT is unusable around town or at lower speed, IMO

 

Anyone using 91 2.0 beta tune try different gas stations and get different results? Better or worse. Gas stations have a bad reputation for not replacing tanks or maintance or water leaking in the fuel.. maybe some of these problems people are having are from finding the cheapest gas they can get.. I know that 91 premium at arco isnt 91 at shell. Almost 1 dollar difference in price right across the street from eachother

 

Recently filled up at a VP racing station and immediately noticed it drove different. Usually fill ups are at 76. Same station. Always 91

 

@OVTune any news from OFT regarding 2018+?

 

Bought the Handheld on labor day and still can't use it. OFT has stopped replying to requests for update. Been patient but really disappointed with the situation. @OVTune has offered to replace the unit but I'll need to ship handheld back at my expense and still won't have what I wanted.

 

Unfortunately nothing yet. We are offering exchanges for flash kits or refunds on 18+ trucks.
Can't imagine there are that many left as we only sold about 20 or less before finding out.

At this point I don't know when it will be ready. They are stuck on the algorithm for access to flash. They have read and checksum working, so it is 2 out of 3 done.

The 1.5mb ecu uses a 4 byte code and the 2.0mb (18+) uses a 10byte

 

How do we get the process started for an exchange over to a flash kit? I am one of the people with a non working handheld.
